Operations & learning leader / AI-native builder

I run online education at enterprise scale, and I build the AI products that move it forward.

Fifteen years leading learning and production operations at Academy of Art University, where I am AVP of Online Education Production and Innovation. Alongside that, I design and ship AI products, consumer and institutional.

Perspective

Two versions of AI in education

The first version of AI in education replaces the expert: it generates a course from a syllabus or hands a student an answer. The second version amplifies the expert. It gives a subject matter expert pedagogical scaffolding, gives a parent the teacher's method and language, and meets a learner at the exact moment they are stuck. Those are very different tools, with very different implications for the field.

Everything I build follows the second path. Keep the expertise at the center, check for understanding instead of handing over the answer, and let AI carry the scale.

New product / on the App Store

earnling.co

Earnling

A playful, parent-guided app that shows kids exactly when their earrings, cookies, or pottery start turning a real profit. A child logs what they make, what they sell, and what supplies cost, and a meter fills as they earn back what they spent, then turns green the moment real profit begins.

My first mobile app, designed and built end-to-end on my own. It is now live on the App Store, after a launch waitlist of 175 people.

Operations at scale / Academy of Art University

Building the systems that let learning operations run

I rebuilt the operational backbone of a 23-department online education program: faster production cycles, centralized contracts, and a clean migration of thousands of courses with no content lost.

50%
faster production timelines

Scaling course production with new workflows

Redesigned a 30-week course production cycle across 23 academic departments into a 15-week cycle, pairing the new schedule with revised contract terms and Agile practices.

4,000+
contracts centralized

Digitizing contracts and building a tracking system

Replaced fragmented, paper-based agreements for 200+ annual subject matter experts with a centralized system that gave leadership visibility into builds, utilization, and cost.

3,000+
courses migrated, zero content loss

Large-scale LMS migration and content governance

Directed the migration of more than 3,000 courses into a new learning management system, designing a custom version-tracking layer to cover a gap the new platform did not handle.
